Has anyone been unfortunate enough to buy any fake clubs on eBay? Did you manage to sort it out? Did eBay help with PayPal refund?

Bought 5 dozen Donnay's re-written as Titleist Pro-vs a couple of years ago got my money back when I threatened to unleash all Heck on the seller! Just tell the seller that you intend to inform the brand that there is duff stuff being passed about!

Years ago I bought a Cally FT3 driver - when it came it most certainly wasn't.
It was an ERC model that didn't conform to the new regs and had FT3 somehow printed on it.
By the serial number was the phrase "Non-conforming" so it was a bit of a giveaway.
Got Ebay and PayPal involved and within a week I had my money back.

I was looking at Galvin Green jackets the other day and there is a seller on there who has been selling them at pretty much half price and new. Got 100% positive feedback but surely can't be genuine at that price.

Thanks all, I've seen what appears to be a cheap set of clubs, the seller has good feedback and has sold and is selling mostly golf equipment. I might take a chance. Just wanted to check eBay and PayPal would help with refund.

Bought a scotty Cameron putter from eBay about 5/6 years ago, used it for 2 years, putted great with it,then when putting the head cover back on saw something fall to the ground, the screw which holds the faceplate on turned out to be a screw head glued in place. Too late to do anything through eBay. Bought the proper one from golf shop but couldn't putt with it, had a mental block, changed to a different style and thankfully my putting has improved again.

They were 4-sw x hot. Sold for £305, I left my highest bid at £300. Somebody either got themselves a bargain or a headache.

looking at the last (lots) of sales of these that's not wildly out, although it's probably '1 club' out on average ie 4 - PW seems to go around 300 - 315 SH
now, new BIN from an international shipper in the far East and I can see good reasons be 'concerned'
