Early Season form.......

Played a few times this month, and lets be honest, the weather has been fab, the course is looking good, and all is set for the season.

But, despite hitting some fab drives with my new 910D3, scoring reasonably well, I just dont feel that everything is clicking quite right just yet, particularly my irons.
If I connect well, its slightly off line, if its on line, its slightly thin or fat, but then the occasional one zings off the face and stops quick on the green, as if telling me ' haha.......thats what you're looking for....right ? "

Played 12 holes last night, 2 Birdies, 5 Pars, 3 Bogeys, 2 Doubles, putted very well, used the Driver 3 times and all screamed off the face (best was measured 262yds.) was +5 to Par, but didnt hit an iron well all night

I'm getting the feeling that as soon as my iron play finds form, everything else is gonna go on holiday !

Thats just golf for you. It all click in a week or two then something else will go wrong. Ive just played 9 holes, 8 bogeys and one double. So annoyed that i did not even have 1 par!!!

Was like you and pretty good off the tee but my 2nd shots were pretty much all woeful today. If i pkay tomorrow they will be fine and itll be my putting or something else.......aaaaargh so frustrating

Hi Macster, I am feeling exactly the same as you. I assume that in a week or two, when the comps start, things will click into place as most of my good hitting has been at the range and I like the ground a little firmer for my best iron play.
