Ok, its early, and odds will change, as will e/w places, but who is good odds now, and worth getting on early?

Ive gone for Fleetwood on paddypower at 40.

Skybet has him at worse, 30s.

I am also thinking Leishman, Charley Hoff, and may be Tyrrel Hatton.

None are going to win, but an e/w flutter, may be has potential.

Ideas?

Iv also gone for Fleetwood, hatton and Fitzpatrick all early e/w flutters. Can't decide who I fancy to win it outright. Dare I stick a fiver on Westwood?

little point betting the guys whove done well lately, youre most likely betting them at their odds lowest point. Hard to see how Fleetwood goes off any shorter than he currently is and a couple of bad tournies and his price gets much bigger, value is in finding the guys who arent necessarily firing now but will do at the Open (easier said than done). Youre also getting the worst EW terms

Fowler will probably be there or there about and Matsuyama, also think Rose or one of the big 3 could be a good bet for first round leader.

done my betting just now

£2 on Fleetwood each way at 40/1
£1 on Beef each way at 125/1
£1 on Noren Each way at 50/1
£2 on Fowler to Win at 18/1

Fingers Crossed one of them comes in

Noren for me, but I'll wait til closer to the event to get more places.

I bet on 6 golfers going into the US Open, 5 made the cut, going into the final day 4 were within a shot or two of placing.

Returns?

Yeah, agreed. And golf betting is pretty random anyway as it is. I don't think there's any more or less value in betting early as betting the day it starts.
