Eagled a Par 5 today
Hit my 5 wood from the tee and it goes horrifically far leaving 170 to the flag. It was downwind and running so a punched 8 iron just fell off the edge of the green
Chipped it in - the look on Fragger's face was a picture!

Earlier I'd carved a ball waaaaaaaaay right off the toe of the driver, about 50 yards into the deep stuff.
Teed up another ball and hit a slightly shonky one but it ended up OK.
Cue the 5 wood, duly spanked it and left the ball 4 feet from the pin from 270 yards out - ridiculous distances with the breeze and run.
Knocked it in for an Eagle with the 2nd ball so really an adventurous par..

I used to get a lot of Eagles but went through a relatively barren 2-3 years when I hardly made any - today's was my 4th this year so that bodes well!

Yeah except his driving with Driver was crud with a capital C, but that was a monster 5 wood, went an obscene distance

Well played sir.
Got one today as well. Short par 4 playing 265 so hit a great 4 iron which ran to 5 foot and knocked in the putt for eagle and win the match 4 and 2.
