e-version of golf monthly

Nope, only the iPad version is free to subscriber. If you want the android version then you have to pay again.
Hmmm guess i will stick with paper then. shame as I'd happily pay a little extra for a dual sub but cant understand why only ipad if free.

Something to do with android not being able to link to existing subscriptions in the same way as iOS. Apparently it is technology limitations rather than a lack of desire to have it free on both systems.

I've had a subscription for the last year and a half but can only get the most recent issue on my iPhone, anyone know how you can get the previous issues again for free?

I've said it before and I will no doubt say it again but this does razz me off, and I do find the technical reason hard to believe in 2013. Last time I looked they were charging a fiver to download it on Google play, which after I have subscribed to the print version is taking the mickey (I would use a stronger word but as we know golfers don't like swearing). I would be very interested to know how many people actually shell out a fiver on the digital mag when the paper one costs less. Is the digital edition aimed at the overseas market?

My print version subscription is up for renewal and I am contemplating whether to not bother. As a recent convert to an android tablet device, if I knew I would get the digital edition for free or even pay a little extra on top of my paper one to get it I would probably renew.

I read an interesting article in the Times yesterday about digital subscriptions saying men are twice as more more likely to subscribe to digital editions of mags then women, and the proportion of people reading mags on tablets rose from one in 20 last year to 1 in 5 now. So surely there is a decent size market for GM to go for there with a sensible pricing structure.

Also google will take over from Apple as most popular seller of apps soon.
