E Bay does have it's good side.

Why do you carry 4 52* degree wedges? Only leaves room for 10 other clubs :mmm:

At last, I've got myself a near mint Vokey 200 series 52 degree wedge......my fourth one. 10 months I've waited to get one this good. The next one's going to be even harder to find. :whoo::whoo:

Ooh, nice. Is it with the shiney chrome finish? I love those and have a 52 and 58 which I'm currently resting.

Also have a 400 series 56.10.

Can you vokey officianados explain the difference between 200, 400 and also SM, SM4, SM5?
Is there any difference between say, a 200 52* and a 400 52*?

Are they just different production runs off the conveyor belt?

The 200 series first came out around 2005. You can still get them througt Titleist wedge works but they cast a bomb and they are now spin milled. http://www.vokey.com/wedgeworks/archive.aspx

I'll need to get a couple of photos up when I get home..............tried the latest ones but they just dont feel or perform like a 200. Click photos.

400s and 200s are certainly different designs. Various SMs supposedly are too - though differences are not obvious to me. I had a (Tour) 452-08 that I really liked, but it shredded balls. Lower flight than most wedges. Probably one of only 2 Vokeys I've got on with - the other being a P-Grind 60 that I loaned to a guy who is now in Australia!

Just in relation to the 200 and 400 these were different head designs with different grinds, head shapes and weight distribution. There was also a 300 series.

Have a look here

The original chrome 200, 300 and 400 series wedges (particularly the 300 and 400) are quite rare, especially in good condition.

Even more so now that you've alerted the forum to the beauty of these clubs and they'll all now be looking for them....

Enjoy it Tommo, always nice to get something you've been after for a while....

they all look the same to me:confused:

In many ways you are right. BUT, have a close look and there is a considerable difference. When you have used something that looks and feels right for so long then I become desperate to get a replacement. Ive tried others including some nice Cleveland models but none hold a candle to a good 200 series. For me technology in wedge design has not moved forward although taylormade brought in a wedge where you can remove and replace the striking face....!!!!!

I use my old one for practice and the newer one on the course....now the cycle starts again.
