I see play has been suspended due Zanotti receiving medical treatment after being hit on the head by a stray ball.

Hope he is ok and whoever did it shouted fore.

Fair play to his playing partners who both withdrew from the tournament to accompany him to hospital. Particularly Ricardo Gonzalez, who at 139th in the RTD could do with the earnings to secure his card.

Signed glove made it all better?! :p

LOL...

Whilst it's very commendable that his playing partners headed off to hospital with him, when was the last time you saw a player WD after beaning a spectator on the head in order to accompany them to hospital...?

Did they realy ? nice gesture but really strange (IMO) sure what can they do for him in the ambulance or the hospital

I don't think they were in his group were they? I think they are just his good friends and have gone to hospital to support him etc.

Im sure Koepka was in same group as Zanotti when I looked the other day at groupings.

And there again...... can't see it happening anytime soon. Still a source of frustration with me and sends out a bad message to the armchair golfers who could think its fine to do the same at their club at the weekend

Hmmm. I'm not sure that my definition of an "armchair golfer" is one who plays at their club at the weekend!

Maybe if there setting an example perhaps the tour pros could play some ready golf and hit the thing a bit quicker and maybe play under 4 hours for a 2 ball

Is anyone watching the Tour Championship ?

Quick question

They said that out of 87 tee shots today only 6 birdies were made on the 18th

I thought there was only 30 players in the field ?! How can there be 87 tee shots ?!

Time to resurrect the 'Weekend Warrior' term!

There are 29 players in the field.
Perhaps they meant 87 shots. 3*29=87, so if there were 6 birdies there must have been 6 bogeys to balance it out (or some combination of bogeys and doubles etc to add up to 6)

Well that theory was rubbish. I've just been through the scores, there were 7 bogeys, 2 birdies and the rest pars on 18 today.

Only 29 in the field (Dustbin Johnson taken leave for personal reasons.....), so only 29 tee shots on 18, unless they all took a large number of provisionals :-)

Due to the odd number, one of the players (can't remember who) had to play his round as a single....... seems a tad unfair. Since not matchplay, and such a reduced field, can't see why they didn't put one 3 ball out there, it wouldn't have seriously affected anything.....
