Has anybody played here this season, and if so, what condition was the course in?

I'm staying there from the 8th - 15th September and as a back up, can anyone recommend a couple of courses nearby that would be worth playing?

I havent played there this year so i'm probably not the right person to comment on what it's like currently. I have played it a few times over the last couple of years and my main criticism is always the condition although from what i've seen it tends to be worse later on in the year. I'm a member of Royal Norwich so although slightly biased i'd recommend it. Especially as it won't be there in about 3 years time so you may not have another chance to play it. I played Eaton recently which is in good condition. I'm not a big fan of Sprowston Manor but the greens are very good. Barnham Broom is also worth a look.
 
Was a member of Dunston but not played it recently so do not know the condition though it was always very well kept, I am a member of Barnham Broom and the courses are in great nick at the moment, usually some good day deals too including food and a round or two if you check website.

If I had the chance I would look at Royal Norwich and Weston Park as they will both be going through a merger as Coley mentioned. Played Weston Park a month or so ago and t was in great condition.

Coley167 if you ever fancy a round at Barnham give me a shout.
 
I recently played DH with a friend and found the course in pretty decent condition and the recent weather will only help.

Was a member of Barnham Broom and Eaton while I was at university in Norwich and I can say really give Eaton a consideration, BB not so much.

It is included, but of course you're welcome to join us. I'll let you know what days we're playing.

Gutted! I'll be there on 19th and 20th to celebrate my 40th with the wife. Would have been great to play a round with you, and my language has improved somewhat too! Oh well.

If anyone fancies a round on 20th, let me know. I've got a devere voucher from golf insurance, so was planning on using it.

Aww, me too, would of been good to catch up.

But can't you change the dates, she wont mind will she?!! (big smiley face here!)
