A couple of times. It's not a bad track, though not close to Goswick, which is Northumberland's best links. There'sa good finishing run and a fun short par 3 at the end of the course nearest the castle. Great views.

Have played once two years ago, great wee course with lovely views. Can be very windy. Try to keep it on the short stuff, in the height of summer the rough is very long and finding your ball is very difficult, the course is not for booming the ball, a canny game is required.

The chap above is right about Goswick I play every year, the rough is not as penal there. For a quickie I also play Alnmouth Village, classic 9 hole links a bit rough around the edges but the seventh has the best elevated tee I have played!

Enjoy your game

Bugger. I've come back from a wedding in Alnwick this weekend gone after failing to convince anyone that a round of golf at Dunstanburgh the next day would be a good idea.

As it turns out, they were right as no-one was in a fit state to tee up, let alone hit a ball!

I think you'll really enjoy it.

I play there quite regularily. i love the course although as said above the rough is very punishing but i find that makes me play my best golf. Just make sure you don't hook the ball.
I'm playing there at 2pm on this sat as it happens.
