I have bought Dunlop trousers before with no problems, but a pair I bought last weeks have ridiculously shallow pockets! You can just about get a few tees in them. I didn't dare put my wallet in a back pocket because it would have probably fallen out, and a score card I did put in there did keep falling out! How much material do they save by doing this?! They were purchased from Sports Direct, so I assume they are genuine. :mmm:

Hang on, did you really entertain a thought that they were fake Dunlops! :D

Glad you posted though because I've been finding the opposite in that my pockets are far too deep and my wallet ends up half way down my leg!

They are genuine; I have a couple pairs too and not too bad for the money they cost but probably better shopping on m and m direct or some other discount golf store as you will get a better quality product for not much more.

The material has ripped in one of my pockets and I keep forgetting and losing all sorts that I put in them- pretty cheap made.

As a rule of thumb try and stay away from sports direct- cheap and nasty

Same issue with mine, worn on holiday when had a buggy but given to charity not long after as things kept falling out the pockets.

Back to some old ones which have yet to let me down.

I'm not sure what you expect when buying Dunlop from Sports Direct - it's not exactly the highest quality

Still needs to be 'fit for purpose' though! And seems like these might have an issue with that test!

Plenty of 'budget' stuff can be as good, or nearly, quality wise as 'name' brands, so significantly better value for money! I'd still look hard at the very cheapest and the most expensive before buying though - depending on what it was and how much I use I expected.

I've bought Dunlop trousers off them before and they were OK, especially for use in winter.

Maybe trying them on first would have saved all the heartache

They fitted OK. Only noticed the problem with pockets when I tried to put things in them prior to a round of golf!

Then there is only one person to blame im afraid

You can take them back and ask for a refund if you are not happy with the "pockets" !

They do make good tyres though Derk

Have you got short arms as well? I've stood in many a bar with blokes who've got short arms and deep pockets!!

Can see the scene now at the counter "can I return these as the pockets are too small". Cue some smirking spotty shop oik and very little chance of getting them changed but at least you'll have brightened their day

Actually I took them back this evening, explained and demonstrated the problem to the shop manager and they exchanged them for a more suitable pair without a quibble, even though I had worn them and they were a bit muddy! :)
