Bought a pair of these (silky, good quality 'collection' ones rather than the chino material) for £12.99 ('reduced' from £39.99). Best golf trousers I've ever owned and I've owned a fair few pairs. Comfy, light and well made. Worth a punt if you're in the market as long as you like black or black pin stripe (seem to be the only two colours)

Aztecs has this forum turned you Scottish? You were born near/in Nottingham, you live in Gloucestershire and you say 'baws' and 'trews'... ;)

When one finger typing on the mostly terrible iPad keyboard I use them for short hand. Saves me 20 minutes! (just taken me half an hour to type this ;))

Rest assured I'm definitely not Scottish!

Trews is actually an English word dating from the 17th century when, after the battle of Culloden, it was made a capital offence for the defeated Scots to wear the kilt.
The term " trews " is generally thought to have originated at a meeting of the " butcher " Cumberland and his officers in Inverness in 1747 when the above decree was issued ( presumably over a few ports in the officers mess ).
It is generally credited to a junior officer who was taking the minutes of the meeting who, instead of writing " they ( the Scots ) shall be allowed to wear trewsers (sic) " instead shortened and misspelled it as trews.

;)
