Never thought I'd post this, but discovered these whilst looking for some polo shirts on sports direct website.

I have always used premium balls of different brands, favourite for a while has been the callaway hex chrome. Anyway, I looked at the description of the dp1, which suggested it was similarly constructed to the hex chrome and bought a dozen. Nothing to lose for 12 quid.

Played a couple of rounds and truly astonished! I used one in a medal too! I genuinely can't tell it apart from the hex chrome, getting the same distance and plenty of spin round the greens. Even better, still look brand new at the end of the round.

Suppose this is just a heads up. I've never been too fussed about balls as long as they have plenty of feel. I'd actually rate it miles ahead of a few like the fg tour and penta.

Biggest bargain I've had in ages, I would seriously recommend anyone to give these a shot

Awesome. I have been waiting to here a forumer view on them. I believe you can get them even cheaper online.

thx

Dp1 version 1. There's a new one out but it's 2 piece, which is possibly to reduce costs. I have a feeling the first version won't be round much longer. I'm stocking up I like them so much. My playing partners have joined the club too.

I like to think I know what I'm talking about with these things, have played all my life to a pretty decent standard. Still surprised !

I've used the DP1-V2 which is a urethane 2 piece at £12.99. Decent feel, spin and control and I can stop it dead however I need the greens to firm up a little more before I can get give a proper review.

Early indications would suggest similar performance to the established 2 piece balls, possibly slightly firmer than some but not too much so, with improved spin.

interesting, off 5 I would deffo listen to your verdict granters. I lost 4 balls at Ealing so may need to stock up, its either these or back to trusty AD333
