Hi very nice people:D

Mobile contract is up soon(t-mobile)and looking around to up-grade...

Been with tmobile long time but the choice of phones they offer for up-grades is very limited.
Have looked around briefly and best packages are coming from 3......now i remember they didnt have a good coverage few years back can any1 say if they have got any better???

Orrrrrr,do we have any mobile sales people in that can recommend any other packages that they keep to themselves:smirk:..

thx

Cant recommend any actual contract packages but if you can get one with a samsung galaxy note handset, great. Its is huge but works fantastically and beats the iphone/other wannabes into the ground.

I got an HTC sensation , 500mb, unlimited texts and 500mins from Vodaphone. I would avoid 3, coverage is terrible. Just argue with Vodaphone and you'll get the same package.

Phone is ...erm...sentational. Internet is quicker than my laptop

I'm on 3, what drew me in were te excellent deals they do, however the signal is truly appalling, not once in the year that I've had my htc desire have I got 3G coverage, so avoid

Brendy I saw the note the other day when trying to help my dad pick a phone and whilst the spec looked awesome it's practically a tablet, it's sooo big

Oh and hamshanker my dad is a civil servant who is in charge of broadband and phone infrastructure and he said he would recommend either Vodafone or O2 in terms of getting the best balance between deals available and coverage

from personal experience dont touch 3 with a barge pole! such appauling customer service! Also when you try to leave them be prepared to be hounded by them asking why and claiming how they got an offer which will make you want to stay. Also its a none english call centre so along with these irritating calls you can not underdstand them very well.
Im with orange who i left to go to 3 and as soon as i could i went straight back to orange. Perfect customer service and any problems with your handset its replaced the next day at your choice of time.
Got a reasnable package with them on my Iphone 35 a month for unlimited txts and 400mins of calls and also a large data bundle as well for internet use.

trust me if you get an iphone you wont want another phone again. I have an iphone 4 an not even interested in upgrading not overly fussed to go to the 4s as there is nothing wrong with mine

Cant talk for any android set as ive never did anything other than a brief play around with it but didnt enjoy it.

Thats not to say they are poor but its Iphone all day for me.

my mates got an andoid thingy and we was playing stickman golf in the van. He couldnt do a shot i was doing purely because his touhscreen wasnt sensative enough to move the cursor a tiny bit. I know its a game but it did help in me gloating how he should of got the iphone like he first thought about

I'm definitely moving providers as soon as I get the chance, their customer service isnt great aswell as the poor coverage. Although when I moved to them from orange the customer service from orange was appalling, took them 2 weeks to send the transfer code

T Mobile has the only Phone you need to ask for, the Samsung Galaxy S2.

Do not waste your time or money on anything else.

mmmm so no change then with 3 will stay clear ,cheers

The phone i was looking at was Samsung galaxy which can get from £26 month but the packages were not that great especially for internet....
ive got unlimited at the moment so dont know what i use a month, some of packages have 500mb,is this easy to use in a month on average??

I started with Vodaphone which then became O2 more than 15 years ago with no break in the contract. I hardly ever use my mobile and was paying £10 a month for 100 mins calls. No texts.

My contract was up for renewal at the end of January so I contacted them to ask about a new contract/upgrade as I sometimes text my kids. The cheapest they offered was way in excess of what I required, even on sim only. When I was in Tescos not long after I saw a deal for 250 mins, 5000 texts and 500 thingies with a Samsung Mini phone for £10m a month. I was concerned that I wouldn't get as good reception with Tesco as I got from O2, but it turns out that Tesco use O2! No surprise then that I have signed up with Tesco and having visited "Which" it turns out that Tesco come out best in their comparisons.

The only problem I'm having is the "Smart" phone is smarter than me!

I thought at first being someone who is on Facebook and twitter etc a lot on my phone that 500mb wouldn't be enough, but actually it's not too bad. If you can connect to your home wifi and use that at home then it should be fine. It's also worth mentioning that if anyone who has or gets an android phone wants to monitor how much of their allowance they are using then get an app called 3G watchdog, it's saved me a few times as it can disable your Internet once you reach your limit, and it's free :) as long as you're not intending to stream movies whilst on a train or something then it should be plenty

I think it's quite unfair to write off networks based on Customer Service reports generalised here, having had mobiles for about 20 years I can assure you that they ALL have crappy CS agents working for them. When I was with 3 I spoke the CS people 3 times in the 18 months, and had no issues at all. just finished with Vodafone and they were dreadful at the end and very poor at offering any help, it's now 3 months after ending I am still getting bills for zero balance !!

Now picked up a sim only deal from TalkMobile and very happy. (300 mins, 1000 text, 500mb for £8 per month on a 6 month contract)

500mb is easy to control if you allow your phone to only download headers rather than the complete email. Auto connection to wifi means I generally use much less than 500mb.

I was going to leave T-Mobile as I have a work phone and as I had been with them for so long they did everything they could to keep me. This is the deal I'm currently on:

100 free minutes
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Data
£5 a month!

Phone is a bit pony being a Sony Xperia but that's about to be traded in for an iPhone.

Go haggle my friend, go haggle...!

Yes just seen deal of the week on t-mobile site

Iphone 4s 2000 mins,unlimited t-mobile talk,text and internet £36 month and £99 for the phone..

sounds a good deal but i can only upgrade after 26th so will have to go the shop see if i can still get this deal then as they wont let you upgrade b4 its due, tried in the past:(

Try again Mr. Shanker, they would really like to keep hold of you and if it means changing a dozen days they'd prefer to do that than lose you.

Go on, give it a go, I double dare you!
