Dubai Golf Shopping

I may have the opportunity to go out to Dubai next month with work. And it crossed my mind that it may be an opportunity to do some golf club purchasing on the cheap.

Has anyone got any experience of buying in Dubai? Will it be tax-free?

I appreciate that any warranty becomes tricky when buying out of another country, but is there anything else I should consider before splashing the cash?

Went a couple of years ago, visited the mall, one of the biggest in the world apparently, forgot the name, but wot I saw in there was no cheaper than here at the time, airport duty free in departures Is real cheap though,

Sorry but due to the relatively small size of the market and the lack of competition prices out there are usually no better than UK which, when coupled with the difficulties of getting the clubs back home makes it an unattractive proposition.

Apart from the pro shops, I could only find one other golf shop when I was there and it was nothing special, only thing of note was dozens of boxes of brand new Titleist tour balatas stacked up against the back wall. Bought a box for posterity

I was in Dubai recently. Everything is expensive. No bargains I am afraid.
