Playing here tomorrow on an outing. Has anyone played it? I had a wee look on it's website and it looks pretty impressive, but they would say that wouldn't they?
I know it's only 12 years old and was wondering if it has settled yet, or does it still feel brand new. I noticed that it's a bit lop-sided too, going out in 3800yds and back in only 3000.
Any advice on how to tackle it or what to look out for would be greatly appreciated.

Yours in golf.

I've played Drumoig quite a few times now, very nice course. Some excellent holes, particularly around the turn.
Greens have always been excellent, and they always keep on full greens throughout the winter, and offer rounds for as little as £12 per head, making it a very busy off season course!
There's a spell of holes on the back 9, which go par 3, 5, 3, 5 then finish with a long par 3.
Lop-sided in terms of yardage but not easy!

I think you'll enjoy it!

What did you think of Drumoig then? I was there last Monday for a 36 hole outing and nearly broke my wrists a few times playing out of the rough - very penalising stuff for us amateur folks....

...very nice setup aside from that though, I totally agree with the other comment about the greens - very good condition and a very true putt.

Aah, Just back.
Very nice I must say. Forgive me if I sound a little incoherent, but I've had a few drinks.
Marko, you're bang on. The rough is very punishing, and me with my driving the way it is right now, had a terrible time. I found the fairways to be very forgiving (wide) but if you strayed from them then you lost your ball (no question) regardless if you had a line on it or not. It was a jungle in there. greens were excellent and the general condition of the course was first class. The 9th, 10th and 11th were spectacular. As good a sequence of holes as I've encountered.(played them terribly though)
For £22.50 (with buggy) It is, without doubt the best value golf I have ever enjoyed. And I highly recommend it to everyone.

Going to watch Phil & Tiger now.

drive safely.

Atticus.
