I really like the idea of them. I actually took my old Titleist driver and put my 3 wood shaft in it and moved the loft to 11 deg and use it as a really strong 3 wood if it is windy or playing somewhere tight.

In the earlier thread asking for comments on the Aeroburner Mini, the above comment was made about a Drover Head on a 3 wood shaft, got me thinking I have G30 Driver and G30 3 Wood and to my surprise the 3 Wood shaft fits the driver Head, and was wondering what to expect from this set up.

I know the answer is try it on the course or range but rain is preventing me from doing this at the moment, so in mean time anyone else tried this?

Tried it last month with my vapors, same whiteboard shafts , difference negligible tbh
both capable of spraying it or nailing it.

Well it is somewhat similar to what some Tour pros do. The current average retail driver is 45 or 45.5 inches long and a 3 wood about 2 inches shorter. But drivers used to be about 43 and some players like Sergio use 43.5 for control and accuracy. The shaft is usually a bit heavier in a 3 wood so that works out OK in a shorter length.

Kind of tried this recently, driver is 45.5" so I bought a shaft and adaptor and made it up to 44.5" putting a 30g lighter grip on it for swingweight. It is easier to control without a doubt, I've only had range time with it so not sure how it holds up on course. Maybe the rain will stop one day and I'll find out.
Anyways I'd say no distance lost at all and it certainly feels easier to swing for me, but then again I'm a short ass.

What I found was that it produced a very strong flight, great in windy conditions or tight holes. I would tee it down fairly low, similar height to that of my 3 wood. I still have this club in play in a rotation, in that I have 16 clubs that I choose from demanding on the course I'm playing.
