Driver shaft length

standard, after using TaylorMade in a superfast burner, that 1" makes all the difference for control:mmm:

Hi all, curious to know what lenght driver shaft are you currently using and have you experimented with different lengths

Hello Ive tried 48" long tom amazingly driver and now using a extended 47" Ping driver
I feel i can control it so i benefit with longer drivers

43.5 for me, have tried 45.5 but cant use it properly (& grip it down only works for about an inch, anymore and its a hindrance to try)

Short is the new long!

I would guess the longer your driver the better your transition needs to be.

I grip down a touch on my stock shaft at the moment. Might go back up the grip as the confidence grows.

Cut mine down to 43.5" from 45" earlier in the season. For about a month it transformed my driving, giving me much better control with no noticeable change in distance. But in the last few weeks I must have been reverting to bad habits because I lost control of it again.

I've also taken 1" off my 3 wood and that's given me much greater control and striking.

All my irons are 0.5" short.

I'm not very tall. :D
