Probably a daft question but does the loft and strength of my drivers shaft have any affect on the direction of the ball flight when I tee off?

I play with a regular shaft and the driver has a 10.5 degree loft. All my shots go horribly to the right. I know most of it is about technique in my swing but would changing the loft and shaft strength change anything?

10.5 loft is plenty enough. When you say strength of the shaft do mean the flex or the weight. Both will have a big impact and if it is too heavy and stiff or light and whippy it will cause issues getting it square. Of course, it could just be as simple as poor technique and a lesson will cure what ails you

I mean the flex of the shaft. I'm don't know if my swing is fast or slow either? Would that have anything to do with it? My shots seem to go a bit high as well

yes it will have a huge impact but very generally the ball will go right with too stiff a shaft......so I would start with technique and ignore the shaft of the driver for the time being!

Sounds more like technique is it a straight block or a straight the then cut shape right? If so they will say something about your release, which basically means your swing is stopping before or just after impact. This is my common falt, so I do a few half swings with a full follow through and some baseball swings to loosen up. The release as they call it happens naturally and the face of the club closes giving a straight shot, you'll find some more yards as well, it just swinging all the way through.
