Hi Folks,

Bit of a disappointment recently, hit a tee shot that went nowhere but sounded funny, looked at face of club and saw a crack right across the face!

Now it is not a new driver, (approx 6 yrs old) but I would not expect a failure like this. My local dealer have returned the club to Yonex for inspection, should I hold my breath in the hope of getting a repair or replacement given it is obviously well outside any sort of warranty period?

Simon

(doubly disappointed was not picked for recent cobra driver GM fitting now!!!) :(

6yr old so obviously they dont have to replace or repair. But I'd also be disappointed if I was you. You never know mate, they might come good.
Good luck.

You never know. Some brands will replace any old tat if they think you'll buy new stuff never-endingly....

Bad luck. I hope you (now) get lucky... that would be good. :)

They might, but don't have to for a 6 year old club, give you a credit for the current market value which looks to be about £50.

I used to work for yonex and I'm 90% sure they will not have a replacement as old stock just gets thrown away in a skip unless one of my old work pals kept one for some strange reason but I'm sure the guy will hunt out the warehouse to double check as his a top bloke and if they haven't got one I'm sure they would offer some sort of replacement.

Yonex is a really good company and think a lot of there customers.

they only got 1 guy in stores?

I would be shocked if they didnt give you a new Driver gratis, never seen a split like that before, certainly not on well known brands. I have drivers/fairways way older and they act like new.

They have between 2 and 3 men in the warehouse that pack the golf, tennis and badminton :)

They aren't under any obligation to do anything but you would hope they do. First time I've heard of anything from Yonex going wrong on here so it will be interesting to see how they deal with it. We all know how good the likes of Cally, Ping, Go Kart, and many others have been

and it is with that spirit I sent it back to them via the agent really. If nothing else, perhaps their R&D folks may find an 'in the field' failure useful to have a look at. If them come up with a replacement I would be over the moon as clearly there is not obligation on their part other than the customer service / goodwill angle.

If that was Nike....... You'd be stuffed. They don't give a monkeys.

Yonex? You might be ok.

I guess it's just your awesome power that did it.
