I went to a titliest demo day just see how my high lofted r15 compared spin wise ect against a 915 driver ,so Ive got my r15 set at its lowest loft setting which is 12deg and let rip it turns out I wasn't imagining that im getting to much height it's acctuly true 😂 the trackman came back with 4000+ rpm with my r15 so after hitting different titliest heads ect I was getting the best results with a 915 d2 9.5 deg with a rogue silver stiff shaft was getting 2500 rpm and the correct launch ect and averaging 20 /30 plus yards longer because the decrease in height and more roll out .my question before I commit to a new driver how do people who have had a 915 for a while find them compared to other offerings ie,taylormade m1,callaway ect cheers in advance

To be honest Id rather be a little shorter and on the fairway than longer and in the rough I was impressed with the 915 on off centre hits it still seemed to send the ball out there

Love my 915, haven't tried the others you mentioned, currently no interest in other drivers and will hopefully remain that way😃

That's fair coment what do you love about the 915?im thinking more titliest over anything else because I love the look of it but want to hear others views on them before I commit and buy

We just get on😃 Had the 913 and got the 915 when I'd been drinking!
Distance and accuracy have improved, really nice club

20-30 yards difference is huge, that's 3-4 clubs difference hitting into the green. Now if your just as accurate with it and longer it's a win win, now if you a little little more wild by say 2-3 yards it's still a win. I would much rather hit a 7 iron from the rough than a 4 iron off the fairway in most cases.

I couldn't bealive the results when we compared the figures between my r15 14degree and the 915 9.5deg spin was a lot lower better flight more roll out and more carry.

Have you tried any other clubs in an equivalent loft / shaft combo?
A poorly fitted 14 degree driver vs a 9.5 degree one that obviously fits you much better isn't a fair fight between the different models.

I have a 915D2 8.5 degree, it's a good club that I have no plans to change, but if I'm honest I am not wowed with it. I had a r15 black before it which I probably preferred overall, better sound and a little longer on my best hits.

The results are entirely predictable when comparing a 14 degree driver to a 9.5 one.

Did you compare a 9.5 R15 to the 915?

No I haven't tested any other drivers other than the titleist so only comparing with that I love the look of it but I am thinking of having a go of a few to see if I can improve on the titliest.

They are all very similar performance wise these days if correctly fitted, so it's really a case of finding one you like and making sure you get that one with the correct shaft and loft combo for your particular swing.

I went from a R15 9.5 to a 915 D3 9.5 and noticed a big difference. The 915 is not as long as the R15 but it is more forgiving. The bad shots are not as punishing. I am very happy with the change and love my Titleist. Something to bear in mind though the Titleist 917 Drivers will be used on tour from July onwards and available to but from October / November.

I just sold my TM R15 12* driver strangely enough. I had to use it on it's lowest setting to get anything sensible out of it. Whilst the short time I had it, it improved my driving, when I swapped it (plus cash) for a TM Burner that is 7 years old, my drives improved even further. I think technology may be for the better gofer, and I am not one of them ;)

Mines turned Down now to try and take it a bit but still far to high it drops with no roll out 😂 great for playing into par 5s of the deck 😂
