All, can some one help me please.

Just been up the range and flushing my drives really well however they were going about 150 yards with a small roll out. Now here's the catch its about -2 outside. Im not swinging it any different from the last week where I was hitting my average of 200yards.

I'm hoping its the cold weather that's reduced my distance.

Thoughts are welcome.

I was always told cold air is harder for the ball to travel through than warm air.. hence why in the summer it goes further

plus when balls are colder they dont perform to their best.. range balls sit there in a machine freezing cold so when you hit them they prob dont go as far as expected

The cold does reduce the amount the ball compresses at impact which in turn reduces the distance the ball travels

50 yards distance will be around 45 yards loss due to your own body being cold and not hitting the ball correctly and maybe 5 yards due to the ball compressing less.

IN short, you should not lose 50 yards or 25% of your distance as it is cold, warm up, get loose and you will see very little difference
