Dreaded courses

Anyone on here have any courses where they never seem to be able to do well no matter how many times they've played it??

Sounds daft but I have a few that I really don't feel comfortable playing despite them not being particularly bad to play or look at! I try to avoid them at all costs but in the odd few times I've had to play them I've never done well despite being up for it.

Theres one or two I've played once, not played well and swore I'd never go back to play them cause I'm worried about playing bad there again.

Is this normal??

No course I dread because of difficulty. I can play poorly enough on any track really. I think it is normal to have a mental block to a course based on previous experiences. We all have holes that don't suit our eye or have beaten us up every time so having a course that makes us feel this way is entirely possible.

I personally dislike poorly designed and managed/maintained courses. Ecclestone Park near Liverpool is one. Will never ever return there. Not a good layout which was in very poor condition for the time of year (shoddy groundskeeping and general dog eared look to the course) and non existent marshalling on a busy course which was over loaded.
