Draycote hotel & Whitefields Golf Course

I've never been but would be interested to hear your thoughts on the course after you've played it.

I dont live too far away and may look to move clubs next year (for a longer course)and this is within decent travel distance.

16 of us went there last year on a 1 night 2 round deal and would happily go there again food and accommodation were top notch and the course was interesting and well looked after only downside was that it was quite busy apart from that cant fault it

Still going. Just because 1 person doesnt like it doesnt mean we will.Whys it crap
So are you still going, or want an opinion?

The course is fairly new, so fairways are sparse and scrubby, and the bunkers almost sand free. It also swings between concrete hard, and sogging wet due to bad drainage I presume on some parts, and exposed wind swept parts in others? There are few if any good holes, maybe the island green 16th par 3, but otherwise poor.

Then there are a number of simply bad holes, the 17th taking the biscuit, where you're virtually firing right over the 18th tee, and becasue of this there's an internal OOB all down the left hand side.

Still you're going anyway, tell us how you found it.
