I've been to the range (not the shop) this evening, just for something to do really.

Now, I normally draw the ball slightly but today was just bizarre. It was setting off so far right that I looked away in disappointment, only to look back and see the ball landing exactly on the intended line.
So, just a simple question really... is it a strong draw, or a strange hook that needs to be sorted?

Does anybody know a course that just has doglegs to the left?

1) Ball starts right so club face is pointing right.

2) It draws (hooks) back in so the path must also be very much to the right (more than the face to get the curvature)

Just overdoing it with both face and path.

Thanks for the reply.

So in theory, it's a push-hook? If that makes any sense.
I think that I'm between swings after having a lesson a few months back. I'm trying to do what was taught, whilst still having the old habits!

Yes, it sounds like it from your description.

You could have the ball back in your stance (face no time to close and path too in-to-out) or you could simply be aimed too far right. There are other things but ball position and alignment are a good place to start.
