I'm going to buy one from the i-store but I've never read one before... Are they worth it and which one would you recommend first?

Hi Dave!

I've read Golf is not a game of perfect. I would call it the first book in the 'series'. It was very good, briefly touching on each part of the game!

Well Worth it!

Ive got 'putting out of your mind' which i've read a couple of times, found it quite useful, certainly helped me when my putting was going downhill.

The other one i have is 'the golfers mind' i think, this is a more general golf psychology book, although some of the principles overlap into the putting book.

I've found them both to be very helpful but i will say there are a lot of little anecdotes from the various tours, and some of the information seems repeated, I feel he could have written the important bits in half the space.

As for which to buy first it depends what you want from it?

Got them all, also a good read is Golf Zen by Dr Joseph Parent, and Golf 54 Every shot must have a purpose by pia Nielsson and Lynn Marriott.

Downloaded 'a golfers mind' on kindle and thought it was a waste of dough. By and large commonsense and then restated at the end of each chapter. Money for old rope with that guy I think.

I downloaded a free app on iTunes by Karl Morris called 'mind factor' which is just as good, if not better and it's free.

Who you talking about? Rotella, or Parent?

You nutter, you should have said. I gave mine away after our round at whittington. They are good books mate, just a bit long winded in places. Putting out of your mind was the best one imo

I've got 2 books by him but not sure which ones. You can have them if you pm me and will send in new year.

I think they are good but agree they can be a bit repetitive. I preferred "The Golfers Mind". Common sense? Maybe, but how often does that desert us on the course, and like a lot of things, it is sometimes only obvious after someone else has pointed it out.
