Just back from a 3 day golf trip I organize with friends every year. Great weather, fantastic courses and great banter. What more could a body ask for?

Check out these photos of the 6th hole at Royal Dornoch. A devilishly beautiful par 3.

Can highly recommend any of these 3 courses. They're beautiful. The newbies on our trip were blown away and have already signed up for next year.

Couple of YouTube videos, too, if you want a better look.

Played ok. An 83 at Dornoch, an 85 at New Moray (2 lost balls and 2 other pens) but a cracking 76 at Nairn, putting like a demon. Won the trophy by a point! Wayhay! :D

Wow, playing there this Friday, Struie and Championship courses, John you have truly whetted the golfing appetite, figured the gorse would be in blossom but not to that extent, cripes better keep it straight!
- excellent pictures.

lovely part of the country john, don't particularly enjoy the drive up from Glasgow but once you get there its just worth while scenery.

Enjoy, Stu. Sure you will. The course is in superb order. The greens are firm and true but the course has plenty room, apart from this 6th, where all 8 of us missed the green.

And yes, Boabski, it's worth the four hour drive. Had a great time.

Now thats what you call a proper golf course! Great pics there John. Lots of thought needed to get the ball round there in a respectible score. Nice wee bunkers to take care of the wayward shot....

Good scoring round these tracks John.

Looks excellent John.

Was up there for a wedding a couple of years ago but i did not take the clubs.

Boabski, Surely any drive out of Glasgow is good ;) ;)
