It's a sad time we live in.
People having to prove they're not doping rather than someone else proving that they are.....
Guilty until proven innocent.
It's wrong.

If people are doping, prove they are, produce evidence, not heresay
Parliamentary Privilege can be a dangerous thing.

I take it you're on about Paula Radcliffe?
If she's one of those with "dodgy" blood tests then she's in the same camp as Gatlin for me I'm afraid, British great or not.
The evidence is there by all accounts but the IAAF aren't releasing it for whatever reason.

Never ever been any suggestion that Radcliffe has been doping - i cant think of anyone mroe vocal against drugs - she even got fined for her protests against certain athletes who were running despite bans etc.

Agree with Imurg - think its wrong these people are being persecuted despite not being found guilty of any doping offence - same with Farah

The use of PP comes with a responsibility to use it wisely. Sadly, its quite often abused by MP's throwing comments around whilst hiding behind that privilege. Jesse Norman MP made it fairly clear who he thought needed further scrutiny, so lets hope if he's proven wrong he get well and truly castigated by parliament for it. Both the Times newspaper and by the German broadcaster are, typically, vague but the damage has been done.

Good job no one in golf ever uses performance enhancing drugs as the drug testing regime is so strict

Has she ever failed a drugs test ? What more proof does anyone need ?

There are plenty of East German female athletes that it had now turned out had more drugs in them than Shaun Ryder at his peak, but never failed tests.

No way am iI saying this proves anything about Paula, but not falling a test is not concrete proof. Unfortunately.

Then what more can she or even Farah do ?

Its poor that people can be accused as such without any proof at all and treated as guilty people

I totally agree with that. The cheats in the past have mean that there will always be an air of suspicion now, and any athlete can be wrongly tainted by innuendo, jealousy or just plain lies by someone else.

I think what Team Sky do by publishing the blood passport or whatever it is called is the best way anyone can prove what they are up to.

Farah has released his blood test results, Radcliffe refuses to according to reports on the radio.

Why should she need to ?

If the results showed drugs in her system then she would have been banned.

If people believe she is guilty of drug taking etc then prove it

Didn't Radcliffe state yesterday that the only 3 abnormal results were taken immediately after the race and that now is known to distort readings and they wait 2 hours? I don't believe for a moment that she's done wrong

I don't believe that........in fact, I don't know anyone that could possibly believe that. ;)

One thing is for sure. These athletes have their urine stored on ice. If these new findings doesn't out such cheats then eventually the technology will catch up with them and strip them of medals won

I think that there has been quite a few "Brits" that have got away with "things".
Only way to try and stop it is with a World wide lifetime ban for anyone caught. Then ratchet up the testing.

Care to name the Brits who have got "away with things " ?
