Notified from HDID today that my handicap has risen to 14 (13.5) I am mortified but the numbers don't lie.

Our opponents in a club 4bbb match today weren't too convinced that I was 13 handicap when I parred 5 consecutive holes today in a 3 club wind and driving rain!

Still, I'm working hard and sure that it's down from here on in. Have you been in the same position?

David recently slipped to a 14 handicap and has been going in the wrong direction since we joined Brampton. He said he felt "comfortable" off 14 which we all know means it's too high. Next qualifier out and he got a 1.2 cut so back playing off 12...

Chin up!

Thanks Amanda, just plan to work harder, I am not content to accept it

Make sure you get it back down before I play you as I'm still not giving you any shots in September! I can't cope with you playing off a 14!
I lost count of the number of times you got a 4 for 4 points on the 12th at Tenterden playing off 19

But you still always beat me with your close to scratch golf. In fact, you have a lot of my dosh and I want my chance to get it back

Welcome to the forum by the way!

Bandit!

Yes, but a slight creep back before the next break-through is normal. My HC history looks like a wobbly staircase. Don't worry about it.

I got up to 12.4 and was adamant I didn't want to get to 13. Managed to win the June stableford and cut back to 11.8 (11.9 now). I would have been prepared to go to the 13 and enjoyed the shot on our seventeenth but glad I didn't get there. Stick with it matey, I'm sure you can improve and it's a matter of time before the cuts comes

h

I'm sure you're right, thanks

I know exactly how you feel having crept up to 13.5 too.

An early season cut had me hoping I was on for a series of wee cuts but that has not materialised. Three qualifiers this week & weekend coming so hopefully that will see me moving back in the right direction OR could be 13.8 by this time next week. Golfing Gods will decide.

I feel your pain Chris. 12 comps so far at the new club and I have given away 9 0.1s and I'm upto 13.2
Have not been close to carding a decent score for a while, but you normally find the scores come when you least expect them, so that must be soon!
