Joined a club today!

Just waiting for my invite into the comps to get my handicap.

Now I play social golf and have never played from the whites so any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.

My tip would be to not expect too much just relax and enjoy it

Make sure your etiquette is good and your knowledge of the rules decent and you'll get on fine with partners.

If you get on with playing partners you'll relax and score better.

Regarding playing take more club ! You'll swing slower and clear hazards which are front of green 90% of time.

My tip for the beacon would take a proper look around(landing areas, best lines into the green)when you playing as you know there are loads of blind shots

Just go out and enjoy it and dont beat your self up if you have a bad hole , because you wont be the only one

Enjoy it, thats why you joined. Try andget involved in competitions asap even if its just to get your cards in. That way your face will get known and it will be easier to get roll up games too
