Which is your dominant eye and does it affect your alignment?

I found last year at my first lesson in years that I was aiming my body to the left and my hands were behind the ball at address. I thought, however, that they were correct.

Anyone else have this trouble?

I went to specsavers eaarlier in the year and came away with a white cane and lovely labrador!!!!!!!

I think my left eye is stronger but to be fair it doesn't have to much impact on my game in general. I'm quite good with alignment (I use the proliner device regularly to check alignment and ball position) and as long as my grip and swing path a re fairly ok I normally manage to keep it in the same postcode. Putting is all about picking a line and trusting it so once I've lined up from behind the ball I just pick a spot at address and commit

It's never been that easy for me Homer.

I can aim my body and club at two different points without realising it!

I really have to work hard at it!

easy enough to check. stand with both eyes open and point at an object at about eye level. close both eyes while still pointing, open each eye in turn, whichever remains on target is the dominant eye.
I am right eye dominant, the observed shift with my left eye is more than 1 foot at 15 feet.
I haven't considered this as it affects golf but since my left side is toward the target I suspect that it must have an impact.

It is very important, especially with putting, you must line the ball up with your dominant eye over the ball. Sure there is a vid on videojug from old Rikard!
