This is one for Patrick148 really...

Are you seeing dolphins in the Moray Firth at the mo'? Reason for asking is that my Ma is staying just outside Fortrose - I'd said she couldn't help but see them from Chanonry Point (I've seen them every singletime I've been) But she's not seen a thing. Are they about at the mo' - or is she just being unlucky?

Yes see them often, they are at Fortrose to catch the salmon, so dependent on them running. Seen them off the course at Nairn a fair bit and a few were jumping out the water level with the 7th green yesterday. Not been to chancery point in some times gets far too busy.

I fear she'll have to take a few more trips down to the beach then ...

Guess it must be me that's been lucky then - been on 4 holidays to that area and saw them every time we went down to the point (or played golf). So many of the brutes, they were ganging up and nicking yer sandwiches. But your wife's tale resonates - I remember talking to a local lady in a restaurant, and she said she'd been in Fortrose for 4 years and had never seen one. Perhaps not as strange as I thought at the time.
