Does anybody know if you can take a dog into the scottish open?

Theres a couple of tickets in the for sale section and I'm up there this weekend but I'll have my dog with me

Get your dog a hi-vis, yourself some shades, and tell them at the venue your here to listen to the golf......and the dog tells you the scores

Trophy delivered.
Marines staying to deter any spectators from http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...liver-trophy-golf-s-Scottish-Open.htmljumping on for free from the beach.

What an cringeworthy stunt. Honour guard might have been a bit of PR fun but all the assault rifle waving was very silly.

We did see their two craft absolutely hammering away from the scene at a serious rate of knots down the Firth yesterday and wondered who/what they were - and now we know.

I think its a pretty good way to deliver the trophy, adds publicity to the event, works as a simple training/pr exercise and I do like how involved US sport gets with their armed forces & I think it should happen in the UK whenever possible

It was cringe worthy as already stated with no training value however I don't blame those that volunteered for the jolly.

The U.S. do far more for vets and service personnel than this country with many events have reduced or free admission to them.

Well since you said it twice it must be true, lets use DHL next time & drop it off round the back to a bloke in a blazer ;)

I think it served as a warning to terrorists.
Beach attacks at The Open/ Scottish Open worry me.
As does this four week 'season' of Wombledon, Open, Ascot and British GP.

Justin team photo taken at Thucket Knowe.
Just round the corner from Death Hill, a well known training dune to Scottish footballers and athletes.
Now if the Marines had run up that to deliver the trophy I would have been impressed.

WHY!!!!!

Sorry, no idea what you're asking about

your saying we should have more service men and women attending sporting events and making guards of honour etc, again i ask why do you think this, why not NHS staff or local authority workers, they all have chosen the job they do and know the downside.

I'm not suggesting it just because they do a tough job, my jobs tough sometimes but I wouldn't dare compare results from my job with theirs so yeah I cant disagree with recognising other areas of public services NHS, police, fire etc etc but that wouldn't stop me wishing to see more of our armed forces recognised too (I only mentioned them specifically as its the thread topic)

I think many spots or roles at sporting events could be given/awarded to the many folks who look after the country and the people in it from many different sectors, as opposed to hangers on filling the hospitality tents
