You would think that the people criss crossing the pro shop are almost the perfect target audience for golf mags, but I have yet to come across a single pro shop that sells golf mags. I have been to private clubs that have copies lying around for their members, but not in public courses (like mine). Does your pro shop sell copies of GM or other golf mags?

Also any other strange places where you are likely to find a golf mag? My local chippie has a couple of old golf mags lying around!!!

my local doctors has GM mags, mainly because i took them there after i read them! I spend so much time there with the kids I am thinking of taking my TV there too.

No mags in pro shops though.

Minne does not but think that is due to the free copies go National Club golfer monthly and the regional golf newspaper !

the national club golfer looks like it is owned or run by golf monthly too ( very similar if not)

Good idea. I am not sure how the mag companies get their product to market, but this should be looked at. I have never seen golf mags sold in pro shops

My pro shop is lucky to have tee's let alone magazines
Although I agree that everyone in a golf shop is a potential customer, how many of us live closer to the pro shop than the local co-op or similar store? I'd imagine that the mark up on mags is small compared to most of pro shops other items too.

The wholesale side of magazine and newspaper sales is well tied up by the big players. No chance of a pro shop being able to get a small number of golf mags every month.

PS you should see what happens to the 'returns' at the dist depot.
