Got a feeling I will be flamed for this :(, but here goes.

Does Tiger Woods make any Golf competition he plays in less interesting to watch?
I have been seriously bored watching the WGC Match play as all I have seen is him and his opponent, I had a decent bet on Stenson and love Sergio, in total I saw less than 10 shots combined from these two players but every one of Tigers.

And so the coverage goes on tonight, Just a bit fed up and he has only just come back.

I like the bloke, he is the ultimate professional and maybe the best ever golfer but I cant help thinking, AT TIMES, Golf would be better with out him.

I couldn't agree more, I think they should be obliged to show a certain amount of golf from each match.... however i'm still fixed on SkySports 3.

ps. It was never a tantrum.

This is his first tournament in 8 months the tv stations were always going to keep the camera on him as much as possible.

I think the biggest problem watching Golf (and in general) is a lack of a serious challenger to him.

Almost all the other great golfers had a challenger (or indeed were themselves) when they were at their peak.Has Tiger had anybody do the same over the last few years?

It was always going to happen. Tiger is the biggest draw in golf and there was always going to be increased attention on him this week. The good news is as the field gets smaller the tv coverage will be forced to show other players to fill the time.

I enjoy watched what the guy is capable of,its practically perfect golf

Fingers crossed Rory gets through and Tiger

Round 3 would be worth a little flutter of Rors

You'd be as well giving me your money.
I predict he'll fold like a cheap suit going by his interview last night.
ie going all dewy eyed at the prospect of playing alongside the almighty.

Tiger is never boring to watch, he plays the game like no one else.

However, I would like to see the odd good shot from someone else, somone must be playing well.

If you get bored watching the best, why watch at all?

What I could do without is the pundits during the ad breaks analysing Tigers swing etc, that is when they could come up with a few highlights from other players, interviews, etc.

Jon,

After watching my game on Saturday you will have a new messiah to pray to. Actually I'm hitting it more like a false god (or Life of Brian type messiah) so you should have an easy ride on Saturday (sorry HTL but it was rubbish at the range tonight)

If you haven't seen Tiger Woods actually hit in real life then you need to....you actually need to realise that it's US TV coverage and if you haven't noticed all the other yanks are (in the words of David Howell) er er er er what's the word er er er not very good..so they have to show him as the stoopids know they are actually watching golf....

You have to admit though it is better than having to watch Oliver Wilson....

Anyway Casey is still in.......

With the event being so big, it makes me wonder why Sky can't offer a playercam feature following Woods like they used to do with certain players in the live football games.

All aspects of Woods' round is recorded, and I'm sure it could be streamed live.

Then there would be more airtime for the European contingents etc..

I don't think Sky get a choice.....all US sport is pretty much recorded - make it much easier for the important bits - the ads....that why we keep getting the cactus shots as that 's when they cut to the studio sponsored by hooters bit....

Should have thought of that before the last post... :p

I know what you mean about Ads, Setanta Golf can drive you to the point of insanity when it's showing Live PGA Tour!

If only the BBC had the rights to more live golf.....
