Hi All..

Lets face it.. For American audiences at least the LPGA has become a Snooze Fest..

God Bless there are so many great lady golfers from many countries..

And we support all those great golfers from every country. But I’m not saying anything that every golf commentator hasn’t expressed. The lack of strong American players is hurting TV ratings in the U.S.

So I know this might sound totally crazy but Hey..

Why doesn’t the LPGA go with a whole New Deal..!

A little BANANA GOLF mixed in the GAME..!

I never thought I would ever watch Banana Ball but I tuned in a couple times and saw how just crazy the fans eat it up..!

So can you imagine, and it doesn’t even have to be the LPGA golfers themselves.. Any individual golfer could join in if they want but the LPGA could hire any of the college CHEER TEAMS you see on the TV every weekend to do there ACROBATIC MOVES as they move down the fairway following the golfers..

WOW..!!

I have no idea what banana golf is or why the LPGA needs it.
Can anyone enlighten me please?
Glad someone else asked the question as I didn’t wanna google ladies playing banana golf, especially after what I’ve seen them do with them in Amsterdam 👀

I also think the LPGA is a good watch if there’s not enough US players that’s not the tours fault other players are better.

I’ll add a slightly more serious point.

one of the things I like about watching the LPGA is that the distances are more relatable to male club golfers. 99.9% of us are never going to carry drives over 300+ distant hazards or lazer in 8 irons to greens 200 yards away. The decisions the ladies face and their strategy is a lot closer to the sport we play. That’s maybe an angle the LPGA should look at developing.

That’s exactly why I love watching it and the LET it’s far more relatable to my game than watching the bigger boys bomb it.

I’ve always been a fan of ladies golf since Annika, used to love watching the way she played and that’s continuing for me with the current players.

Says much about the Americans. We can watch it and enjoy good golf, whoever wins.

No Laying Up, even if they were highly complementary about Aaron Rai, were moaning about the PGA Championship as an event, in a way they would not have done if Scottie won it!😁

None of which gives a clue about what the blank the opening remark means!😂🤣🤣🤣

Ok.. So just for reference for those not familiar.. Banana Ball is a souped up somewhat theatrical version of Baseball.. It’s still a legitimate baseball game but the players do all sorts acrobatic moves to add a little flair for the spectator’s benefit.

The team that started this is the Savannah Bananas who along with other teams play each other to sold out stadiums around the country..

Sounds amazing.
Can’t wait to see Laura Davies doing a cartwheel.🤸‍♂️

There is no interest in baseball outside the US, it’s an irrelevant sport in the world, so it’s no surprise the marketing guys are working overtime to try and make it more entertaining.

Most other sports don’t need gimmicks to make them interesting.

Sounds less entertaining than having wasps forcibly inserted up my rectum whilst being made to watch a Trump speech.

Love the fact the US sport of baseball they have to find more entertaining ways to play it as they’re not even the best country in the world to play it. The last time they won the World Baseball classic was 2017 and current champs are Venezuela but I’ll guess the US will claim victory by default if invading the country. The Olympic champs being Japan and no US win since the year 2000. So they’ve come up with this tripe to make people watch 😂

Leave the LPGA alone it’s an excellent watch, with great golfers if the US doesn’t like it maybe find a way to create better ladies players rather than come up with a gimmick to make you lot watch it!

Actually it is Cuba's national sport....it is also huge culturally in Japan and dominates all other sports in that country in terms of TV viewers.

Ok apologies for exaggerating. Rounders or Baseball is a niche sport only popular in a minority of countries.
