Does anyone have a decent picture of the Open Championship Silver Medal?

Hi, I'm writing a book on the World's 50 Top Sporting Trophies, and I need to get hold of an image of the Open Championship Silver Medal. Can anyone help? I'm self publishing, so all I can offer at the moment in return is a credit! Many thanks

Cheers, Mashie - I used to have one of those, you know. Yes, have contacted the R&A, but they are not proving very helpful - although to be fair to the R&A, they are not alone in most sporting governing bodies being as helpful as wet toilet rolls. British Board of Boxing Control, Isle of Man TT - excellent ... the FA, Rugby League, R&A, US PGA, Wimbledon etc = wack wack oops.

I thought you probably would have done but suggested it just in case. My other thought was the British Golf Museum but I think that is run by the R&A.

I wonder if any past winners would be willing to help? Tiger, Justin and Rory might be a bit busy but some of the others might be a bit more accessible.

Anyway, good luck with your quest. It's a shame to hear the R&A and some of the other big sporting bodies haven't been more helpful. It sounds like an interesting book as those famous old trophies all look great and must have fascinating histories.

If anyone has stock images of all golf trophies/medals I'd reckon it's the #1 Golf Mag in the UK
