Since I will meet Smiffy in the flesh fairly soon, I have no doubt that post will earn me a kick in the shins. No history yet, and my invitation to play can always be cancelled

Haven't got a problem at all with your post Murph. Having been a member of various biking forums over the years, have made that type of response myself, and been on the receiving end quite a few times. No offence taken, why would I cancel the invite to golf? My shoulders are broad...I can dish it out, similarly I can take it

Bit harsh Murph. But the question could have been put better.

Not being funny, but how else could I have worded the question to promote a more positive response? I'm looking to buy a new Callaway "weekender" cartbag, and asked if anybody used that particular type. If they did, what did they think of it?
I can't see how I could have asked it any plainer or simpler?
Is this question much different to asking "I am thinking of buying a Vokey wedge, do you use one and if so, what do you think of it?"

As it is clearly a popular choice, does any one actually stock it? and if they do, you should get a good price, as they will need to move the stock eventually.

Despite nobody using one on the forum (as it would appear) they do seem to be a very good bag. Recommended retail is something like £130.00 with most places selling them for £89.95 although I have seen one website advertising them for £69.95 which does seem cheap.
I have rung them this morning for an update on their stock situation, am waiting for a response....it looks a lot of bag for the money.

I dont use this bag, but I have had 2 callaway standbags, still using second, so all I can tell you is Callaway bags are great, Well designed, function well and very light for what they are. I know its not what you were after but hope it helps a little!

Well the company came back to me, one in stock (in Black) at £69.95 including next day delivery. They are dearer on e-bay! Just ordered, should be here tomorrow.
Thanks for your input! (Where's the laughing smiley)....

Cheers for your late comment Tony.
I too have a Callaway stand bag which is really nice, but it doesn't sit on the cart brilliantly. This one should be perfect for when I don't want to carry.

Well the bag arrived yesterday and it looks superb. Plenty of pockets and feels very sturdy. Yet to try it on the GoKart (it was delivered to work to keep it away from the Missus) but it should fit a treatski.
For £69.95 delivered I think it's a bit of a bargain

Not sure what HID will say when you bring the clubs home after a round but I guess once you've used it its a done deal.

She can say what she likes.

(when she's not in)

She'll be OK with it.
Went to Belgium yesterday on a "baccy run" and called in to a posh perfume shop in France on the way back and got her a lovely bottle of gunk to go behind her ear'oles.
A few brownie points for moi
