I wear a 'regular' office belt on my golf trousers. It was an old spare one. Having used it for the past 3 yrs or so, I have realised that it has started to shred. So am looking to replace it. Question is do I go 'regular' again or a golf belt.

1) Do I need to be fitted for a belt
2) Does it help with your swing or anything else?

i have 2 belts in my life. 1 is a uber smart reversable brown/black one only worn with suits. the other is the utility belt, no gadgets, i mean it gets worn with everything else that requires a belt. its black, i think its levi's and cost about £9. i wasnt fitted for it though, maybe thats why i am not on the tour!

TM were a bit tight when they fitted you for irons woods and shoes! Where was the belt cap an bag........

I have one belt that does everything. It´s black and made by Dickies. I bought it in Wal-Mart in Florida three years ago for a couple of dollars. Why would anybody want to pay £30 or more for a belt?

Slow day? You'd probably do well in a skirt.

Ill put my hands up and admit i have about 8 belts - various colours to match outfits :o

You'll have to do a Mickelson and getting matching shoes and belt. If you're going to get a new golf belt, it's the perfect excuse for new shoes as well.

I don't mind the colours and the fashion statement, I just don't like the crazy prices for a small strip of leather.

I used to have a snake belt in the '70's, now they were cool:)

yeah the prices are a bit steep - thankfully i have got all mine at reduced prices :D

My suit belt is a reversible black-brown leather belt...
My ex-suit-now-golf belt is a leather black one.... but all the belly rubbing on it during the swing has not helped it at all..

I am getting a new shoe as the current one is leaking, so might just coordinate the colours. I dont want to get a Adizero belt and then not allowed on the course... These are game changing decisions and dont want to take it in hurry.

A Jaguar dealer gave me a black/brown reversible Jag belt among other goodies when I bought a new XJS - belt still going strong but I suspect the car's mostly ferrous oxide by now

I first thought you meant "golfers belt" like a builders tool-belt. Now that would be neat.

Little loops for your tees, a magnetic bit for ball markers, a couple of suction cups for spare balls. A pouch for your range-finder. A little flip-down cup/bottle holder and a hook to hang your brolley on.

I'm off down the patent office - I think I've just found the way to my fortune.
