Do You Go Out By Yourself?

Play a lot of golf by myself. Work different shifts from the guys I normally play with so, it's either don't play much or play more but alone. I enjoy it, get my headphones in and head out, work on a few things, play extra shots etc.
 
got up early yesterday and played at half 5. didn't hear anyone else hit a ball till I was on the 9th. so quiet. great to see the course in that light.
 
Will often do 9 holes on my own. Gives you a chance to work on things without any pressure. I play a quiet course, would be less keen if it was busier.
 
I play by myself a lot, I enjoy it because you're not stuck waiting for a playing partner and you can get round quickly, as has been said, put my earphones in and either listen to podcasts or a book on tape and set off!
 
I do from time to time. Will tend to do it on a weekend evening when the course is quiet.

I do it very much as a practice round though, hitting a few different shots, playing a couple of balls.

One of my good friends plays the majority of his golf on his own and is very disciplined, scoring properly all the time. I don't do that and can't really every imagine that I would as to me, solo golf has only ever been about practice.

What course do you play? Just noticed you are from the same neck of the woods as me. (I'm in Alwoodley).
 
I love playing a few holes by myself, often put the Ipod on and just wander round, playing a couple of balls.
Very relaxing!
 
I love going out alone, especially early morning. When at Sherwood Forest you'd get to see the deer which was rare enough. Nothing like your putts being the first to mark a line through the dew on the greens. Gives me a chance to throw another ball down and try different shots or clubs.
 
Have played lots of 9 ,12,or 18 on my own. I work shifts so if I don't play on my own after work approx 7pm I would hardly get a game at all. I normally put 2 balls in play. And I seem to win every time 😀
 
Do it all the time, i have only just started playing so need the practice. Plus i work 2 weeks on 2 off rota (when i'm on i'm unable to play) so most of those i play with have to work.

Nothing better than having a course to yourself mid afternoon :D
 
Yep, often get 9 holes in first thing before others are around. Great for practise and chat to green-keepers - millionaires golf:lol:

Same for me, I'm often pressed for time so trying to coordinate a couple of my mates to play with me is sometimes more trouble than its worth.
