Do golfers on the professional circuit get 2's and sweeps?

It sounds daft I know but think it would be ace to imagine someone like sergio Garcia saying (in a spanish accent) 'darn and blast, i've not won this comp but at least I got a 2 on the par 3 12th, so that covers my entry fee for the open'

Erm...no! Pretty much just a cheque at the end of the week if their performance is good enough!

It's funny I should see this thread and the below within an hour of each other.

Lee Westwood and Darren Clarke have added a bit of spice to this year's majors with a bet that could see the winner net £25,000 for charity and the loser having to take part in a fashion forfeit. The player with the lowest average score at par-threes over the Masters, US Open, Open and US PGA will receive a £10,000 cheque from sponsors Dunlop with bonuses of £250 per birdie and £10,000 for a hole in one.
The loser will have to wear a colour combination of the winner's choice.

They are running longest drive and nearest the pin at the masters too. Think there is a sleeve of srixon distance balls for the longest drive and a divot tool for nearest the pin..

Makes you sick that.

They should play for the sheer enjoyment of the sport. First it was huge prize funds, then massive appearance fees. Now you are telling me they get divot tools for nearest the pin?

I bet it is a Scotty Cameron one too and they are about £20 each

i thought they all chipped in with a few quid in the 2's comp and the winner got a voucher to be spent in the pro's shop on mars bars and oasis soft drinks.
