divot help

I'm struggling lately with consistent striking on the course and found my divots to be at least a good inch deep and sometimes around a foot long.

What do you think the main cause of this is?

I think I may be very steep!

I think you're right. My divots of late have been the same.

I am working hard to shallow out my swing, even if it means a few thins now and again. With such a steep swing, I've really knackered the top of my back and neck.

IMO, it might just be the sodden ground = zero bounce .

Where is your ball positioned ?

I worked on ball position lately but tend to keep it a ball or 2 forward from middle with my 7i

At the end of your swing, try and finish with the weight on the inside of your front foot

I tend to have full weight on the outside of the left foot with sometimes the inside off the ground a fraction
