Divisional winner what does it mean?

Well I turned up at a funeral today and one of the lads who incidentally last time I saw him was at another funeral says "heyup bandit". I asked what he was on about, he said " you winning Div 3 for the year". I asked if he had been sniffing summat coz I didn't have a clue what he was on about, said that I had been ripped to bits on Facebook about it. Still did not know what he was on about. didn't even know you could have division winners for the year.
So 10 mins ago I had a look on the tinternet and discovered Tashyboy was announced as one of the three division winners for our club. This was the end of October. Mint, shame I had not been told though. I could of done a lap of honour or summat.
Anyway, er what does exactly a division winner get? Promotion, hcap cut, holiday. What happens at your club.

Div winner at our place means you have won the Medal Final for that division, to qualify for that you need to have won your division in a medal sometime during the season, obviously you would remember if you had done that so maybe your club does something different....

I won Division 2 of our medal masters this year.. It was for the best nett medal score over 4 cumulative rounds in either Monthly or Midweek Medals. I think i won with 280
