I've a tee off time of 8.08 in the morning and the weather is awful now.

hope it improves. its annoying how ones enjoyment of the game and eagerness to play is, literally!!!, dampened by the great british weather.
 
Well i'm off at 0802 in the medal and the forecast is for bright sunshine ... again .... how about some nice cloud cover and a gentle breeze for once please
 
Been off work today. It was a case of shall I shan't I?
Cloudy this morning, off we go. Upstairs to get changed into my golfing gear. Back downstairs, quick look out of the window and it's chucking it down!
5 minutes later and the sun is out. Step outside and look heavenwards, large black cloud approaching. Back inside to do a bit of hoovering for HID.
Rain again, then sun, cloudy then more rain!

What a crap day!

Currently sunny now but we've had a fair bit of rain.

I'll have my tea then see if it's worth going up for a few holes this evening!
 
I know I've said I wont go off in the rain but if it's a toss up between getting soaked or doing the hoovering for HID like Basher, pass me waterproofs :D
 
I felt good not playing today, as I was taking my Bike for MOT, then as I returned home I realised how much I wished I had played golf....it lashed down! I was soaked to the skin! at least I could have gone to the club house for a drink if I'd chosen golf. :( :D
 
Played today and got caught in a shower that lasted for 2 holes - other than that it was nice and bright. Just very windy.
Glad I played this morning as this afternoon I thought of trading my car in for a boat!!
 
Managed to play 18 holes this morning just the one heavy shower lasting about five minutes but the wind was absolutely howling up the bristol channel,great playing with it but a nightmare playing against it!..but I would rather have been struggling in the wind than getting the old dyson out :)
 
Set out on first hole this morning at 7.40 in shirt sleeves.
The wind starts blowing on the 2nd tee so on went the sweater.
Started raining on the third tee so out came the umberella.
Heavens opened on the 3rd green so on went the waterproofs.
Hid under the trees on the 4th fairway as the rain was horizontal.
Missed out 5&6 and went to 7th tee as the rain died down a little.
Heavens opened again playing 8 and by the time I reached the green there were pools of water by the flag. Me the only one left on the course so I reluctantly walked off as I could only see myself causing damage to the course if I carried on.
Went and had a chat in the pro shop and then headed off home. Walked through the front door at 9.20, made a brew and then watched as the clouds parted and the sun came out. Didn't see another drop of rain till after mid day.

Felt realy miffed all day as I sat with HID watching daytime TV.

How crappy has the weather been of late? You just dont know what is going to happen from day to day.
 
9:16 for me, dry and bright if a little breezy in Fife just now. had a lot of rain during the week so there will be no roll out on the fairways and its a case of firing the ball right up to the flagstick.

At least it's playable golfing weather.
