Anyone recommend a 4 place setting dishwasher please?
Ours is playing up and standing at the sink plays havoc with my back!
Thanks

Edit.
That should be 12 place.

just heard tonight your supposed to put dishwasher salt in as well? where does that go then and how much do you use, and what does it do?

I can't get my head around why anyone needs a dishwasher.
By the time you've loaded & unloaded, you could have just washed the pots yourself.

We have a small one, load it up with the dishwasherable stuff, while it runs I do the stuff that cant go in + excess.

I think people with bigger ones take a few days to fill it and only run it every few days. if you do that just make sure you wipe off anything that might go mouldy in a day or two.

Takes day and half to two days to fill, then half a tablet ( on soft water ) flick the switch , jobs a good un :) Then two mins to unload, done .

And! The dishes are CLEAN rather than slimy!

Salt goes in a special container - where depends on the brand - and stops the streaking that can occur otherwise.

Been (part of) the first purchase in every house I've bought!

Mum used to pre-wash the pots/pans, but I could never see the point. Only possible reason was because it took them 3-4 days to fill theirs, but short cycle means more regular makes sense.

Zanussi was always very reliable. Meile is definitely highest quality, but expensive and arguably not best value. F&P (back home, but available over here) also top quality, but again expensive/not best value. They are actually pretty simple devices, so I don't think going 'expensive/high quality' is as important as other devices.

Thanks for your replies and interest.
Will have to forego the Miele purely on cost and age!!!
(probably would expire long before the .machine)
Of to Currys now ,where I will be told which one we will get by my better half.
