Disappointed

Paint fill startin to come away in my irons. I know it's not a huge thing but only bought them end of October I think, managed to play 2 18's and maybe 7-8 9's with a few range sessions, so not massively used.
I have taken a pic to compare. the wedge is over a year old, used from everywhere inside 80 yards and is also my sand wedge, practice more with this club than any other, paintfill is perfect.

I'd be returning them, I've not seen that on newish irons

Maybe try to give them a bell tomorrow.

I have exactly the same irons as you, so I will be keeping a close on eye them now. I bought mine in January this year, only played a few rounds but hit the range fairly hard.

Controversial but...perhaps Taylormade irons are not as good quality as the likes of Titleist, Cleveland or Ping?

Probably not that much different from each other. Heard loads of comments about ping in recent years, in particular with badges (weight ports) falling out. Unless you have details from every company (and I very much doubt anybody releases those details) then it's hearsay at best and libel at worst
