Disappointed

Played 1st scored full round since injury today.

Ended up with 25 points playing off a handicap of 18.

Shame as there were some great moments including driving a 310yd par4 (and then taking 4 putts from 20ft) and birdieing a 170yd par3.

Short game was dire though all-told but thats to be expected. Driving started very consistently but the fade slowly turned to a slice as the muscles loosened up more.

I carried for the 18 holes which I now regret also.

Anyhow, some positives to come out of the days events.

How can you been disappointed. It's your first game for christ knows how long and no matter what work you've done at the range unless you are playing regularly it is always going to be hard. At least you've got some solid stuff to build on and it wasn't a disaster.

Not too bad a score MedwayJon - especially as it's the first after injury.

Really surprised though, with your history of back problems that you haven't got yourself an electric trolley.

Had a gokart, flogged it to a mate.

May invest in a leccy-trolley again at some stage but not until I know I am going to hold up for the long haul.
