Quick question regarding direct golf stores.

Basically I've got a £20 off voucher when I spend £100+ and was thinking about popping down on Friday when I get paid and having a look at drivers in my price range (saw they have the Nike machspeed square head I've been looking at for £80) my question is though do they allow customers to try clubs out in their simulator before buying? As I may have a look at a few sticks around £100-150 mark - think they sell pre-owned clubs too - so was thinking about trying a few different combos out before settling on the one that works best for me. Or is it a case of I news to pay for the simulator for an hour or so and then try clubs?

Don't most Direct Golf's have a range? If so, then I can't see why they wouldn't let you. They'll tape it up, so be wary of the fact the ball will come out a lot lower (as there is reduced backspin).

The new direct golf in Edinburgh won't have a range where it's located but checked their store finder and they definitely have the simulator. Hopefully get a few clubs together to try out on it.

they should be happy enough to let you have a go on their sim or range especially if you are looking at pre-owned, worth taking you current sticks as a comparison though hit a few of yours get some stats then see how others compare. DG in cambridge have always been more than happy to let me try stuff out min that way

I have spent hours on the range at the one in Cambridge hitting clubs, never any pressure and plenty of free ball tokens handed out.

Their marketing bunch need shot. Just had an email through titled "IMPORTANT: less than 24 hours to claim your FREE £20 gift card"... IF I spend £100 first...

Now having seen the email before I wasn't too shocked by it, not sure everyone would see it that way.

You have to be carefull though as I wasn't allowed to buy anything with my voucher that was on special offer or in the sale which eliminated everything I wanted.

Anyone looking at spending bit less just heard on talksport text. golf to 84433 for a £10 voucher these are normally redeemable off a £50 spend
