Just got back into playing again after doing the fatherly duties for a few years. I am still playing a set of mizuno mp30s i got from direct golf about 7 years ago. Now at the time it was just the standard floor-to-wrist measurement and height that produced the 2 degrees upright clubs i got. I am looking to get new clubs (jpx 800s) and want to go through the full fitting service. Ive been doing a bit work in the hudderfield area and pass direct golf. Do they now offer a full fitting service? And are you obliged to buy after going through the service?
Could anybody reccomend a better way to get fully fitted then be able to shop around for the best price?

If you go on Mizuno's website and do a search you can find the proper fitting centres, i think direct golf do mainly height measurements and lie and loft - its £30 and if you buy them they take it off.

Some other places do the whole swing DNA stuff and try millions of different shafts, etc.

I think they normally knock the price of the fitting off the price of the clubs anyway.

Get a Mizuno fitting at one of their centres. No charge, and when i was fitted at New Malden, no pressure to buy. They give you all the results, and you can then look around for a good deal.

Seconded big time. As a veteran of many incomplete, duff and frankly wrong custom fits from assorted places, I would strong advise seeking a full technician fit. National fitting centres such as Miz,TM, Titleist, Belfry, etc., will do you a great job and will talk you what is right for you, not what is best for their stock take or commission

Thanks for the replies. I think i may have to wait until i go up to scotland and get the full fitting session at cumbernauld. I stay in Leeds at the moment and i am sure Garforth driving range is the only place that does mizuno.

Now any ideas how i can get fitted and buy a set of clubs without the wife finding out?
