Right here's the situation.

Entries close for the Mcgregor trophy ( England u16's strokeplay) on Tuesday.

Realistically 3.4 will get me in, which is my current handicap. 3.5 is extremely borderline.

Now I've been asked to play with a mate in the midweek medal wednesday.

And I don't know how fast the EGU will process the entrants and decide the final 132.

So the question is do I

a) Play the medal. Could get a cut. BUT could go up 0.1 to 4. This would mean I might not make the requirement for the Mcgregor.

or
b) Not play the medal be a pussy and realistically get in the mcgregor?

Note I am playing Average at the moment.
Is the potential of a cut too tempting?

Before I go wednesday I'll look to see if they have made the draw. If they have published it and i'm in then i'll play.

If i've heard nothing then i'll just mark his card and have a casual game.
