Digital scorecards and GPS locations

Hi,
I hope you can help me. I am working on a team to develop an app which requires access to digital scorecards and GPS locations of European golf courses (initially).
Does anyone know where this data can be purchased from (XML file)? Hard to believe an app like Golfshot, website www.golfshake.com created all this data manually.

Is this not the 'IP' that these apps market and hence are unlikely to want to sell to a competitor?

True, I don’t think that existing businesses will be willing to share this data or kin to point me to a source as a future competitor.

I found http://www.cognizant...d-database.html but they cover only 2,451 from 32,076. Do you know any other source I could approach to get maybe not a 100% cover but some solid starting point?

All the top GPS device providers (Garmin, SkyCaddie, GolfBuddy etc) must get their info somewhere, so perhaps try them. Again though, they may be unwilling to help someone else in the same market area.

Buy Callaway's now defunct database.. they won't be needing it after the year's end as they are stopping support of their GPS/digital scorecard product.

Also, shotmiser went belly up earlier in the year - maybe too late but there must be someway of finding the administrators etc

The SkyCaddie guys are always on Twitter talking about walking different courses for updates... obviously they didn't walk them all to begin with, but I imagine the 'starting point' is a lot different to where they are now. Doubt they'd sell they own walking data to a competitor!
